About PRINCE2 7 Foundation
Prepare for the project concepts, the seven principles, the people element, the seven practices and the five processes that make up PRINCE2 7.
This independent practice bank follows the official PeopleCert PRINCE2 7 Foundation syllabus v7.2. Its 278 original questions cover the published learning outcomes and assessment criteria. They are not real exam questions, and no vendor sample questions or text from the official PRINCE2 manual is reproduced.
Check the version before studying. PRINCE2 7 replaced PRINCE2 6 and is a substantial rewrite, not a refresh. Version 7 adds a distinct people learning outcome, renames the former themes as practices, and folds sustainability into the performance targets. Material written for PRINCE2 6 will not match the exam you sit.
Who should take this exam?
PRINCE2 7 Foundation is the entry qualification for the PRINCE2 7 scheme. PeopleCert lists no prerequisites, and the official Exam bundle supports self-study, so an instructor-led course is not mandatory.
Typical study time is two to four weeks of part-time study.

Domains and practice coverage
Use the official exam weights, not the size of each practice pool, to plan your revision.
| Syllabus learning outcome | Official exam weight | Practice questions |
|---|---|---|
| Key concepts relating to projects and PRINCE2 | 3% | 24 |
| How the PRINCE2 principles underpin the method | 8% | 29 |
| The importance of people in successful projects | 14% | 37 |
| The PRINCE2 practices and how they are applied | 60% | 147 |
| The PRINCE2 processes and how they are carried out | 15% | 41 |
| Total | 100% | 278 |
The practice allocation deliberately departs from a strictly proportional split. A proportional split would leave the first two outcomes with roughly 8 and 22 questions, which is too little material to revise from, so they are raised to a floor of 24 and 29. Those extra questions are paid for by the practices outcome, which drops from about 167 to 147 and therefore sits at 52.9% of this bank against its 60% exam weight. It is a study allocation, not a prediction of the question mix on your exam.
The practices outcome still carries by far the most weight on the real exam at 60%, so start there. Key concepts carries the least at 3%, but it defines the vocabulary β project, product, output, outcome, benefit, the six performance targets β that every other outcome is phrased in, so it is worth an early pass.

PeopleCert certification path
PRINCE2 7 Foundation is the entry qualification for the PRINCE2 7 scheme and the prerequisite for PRINCE2 7 Practitioner, which tests whether you can apply and tailor the method to a project scenario rather than recall it.
PRINCE2 sits alongside, not inside, the ITIL scheme: PRINCE2 covers project management, while ITIL covers IT service management. Candidates who want both usually take each Foundation separately.
