About the IASSC Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Prepare for the IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt with original questions across all five DMAIC phases, from project charters to control charts.
This independent practice bank is scoped to the published IASSC Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge. Its 250 original questions cover all five DMAIC phases. They are not real exam questions, and no part of the Body of Knowledge is reproduced.
Check which scheme you are booked on. Lean Six Sigma is certified by several independent bodies, and their syllabuses and exam formats differ. This bank follows the IASSC scheme, which PeopleCert has administered since it acquired IASSC in 2020. If you are booked with a different provider, check their syllabus before using this bank.
Who should take this exam?
The Green Belt sits in the middle of the IASSC belt structure, above Yellow Belt and below Black Belt. It suits someone who leads or takes part in improvement projects and wants to be assessed on the full DMAIC cycle rather than one phase of it.
IASSC lists no prerequisites. Training is recommended but not required, and you do not need a Yellow Belt first.
Typical study time is four to eight weeks of part-time study.

Domains and practice coverage
IASSC publishes no percentage weights for this exam. It states that the exam draws approximately 20 questions from each of the five Body of Knowledge sections, so all five DMAIC phases carry equal weight. This bank mirrors that exactly, at 50 questions per phase, with no editorial re-weighting.
| DMAIC phase | Approximate exam questions | Practice questions |
|---|---|---|
| Define | 20 | 50 |
| Measure | 20 | 50 |
| Analyze | 20 | 50 |
| Improve | 20 | 50 |
| Control | 20 | 50 |
| Total | 100 | 250 |
Because every phase carries the same weight, there is no heaviest phase to prioritise and no phase that is safe to skip. Work through them in DMAIC order instead, since each phase assumes the outputs of the one before it.
Equal weighting does not mean equal breadth. The Improve section has far fewer sub-topics than Analyze, so the same number of questions is spread across much less material, which means Improve is probed more deeply per topic. This bank follows that same shape.
Practice exam
Try the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt practice exam. The first 20 questions are free. Full access to this certification’s 250-question bank costs US$9 for one year.
The bank uses the two question types the scheme publishes, single-answer multiple choice and true/false. Each question includes an explanation, a hint, distractor explanations and a link to the official certification page. Study mode lets you review the reasoning after answering; timed mode lets you practise with a clock.
This purchase is for independent study material. It does not include a PeopleCert exam voucher, training course or certification.
PeopleCert certification path
IASSC certifies three belts: Yellow Belt (ICYB), Green Belt (ICGB) and Black Belt (ICBB). They are independent qualifications rather than a locked sequence, so you can sit the Green Belt without holding a Yellow Belt.
Choose the belt by the scope you are expected to work at. Yellow Belt covers the Define, Measure and Control phases for someone supporting an improvement project. Green Belt covers the full DMAIC cycle for someone running projects. Black Belt adds advanced statistical analysis and the leadership of larger programmes.
