About the GH-700 Exam
GH-700 is for people improving everyday business work with GitHub and GitHub Copilot. Think of a program manager organizing an intake queue, a business analyst turning requirements into a repeatable process, or a product manager checking whether an automated report meets its purpose.
The official credential page names the certification GitHub Certified: Agentic AI Business Professional (beta). Its GH-700 study guide uses the exam title Enhancing Operational Efficiency with Agentic AI. These refer to the same GH-700 exam.
Before buying: This is independent, original single-answer knowledge practice based on the October 2026 outline. It is not official GitHub exam content or a reproduction of the real assessment. GH-700 is in beta, and the official page says the exam may include interactive components. A practice-bank score does not predict an exam result. GitHub subscriptions and exam fees are not included.
Who Should Take This Exam?
Business analysts, product managers, program managers, technical project managers and other business professionals who use generative AI and make decisions about quality, speed, risk and control.
Deep software-development experience is not the focus. Some GitHub familiarity helps, but candidates should also practise turning a business requirement into a clear task, checking an output and deciding when a person must intervene.

Exam Domains and Practice Coverage
The official outline publishes ranges, not a single set of percentages adding to 100. Practice counts below describe this bank’s editorial allocation, not the number of questions in the real exam.
| Official domain | Official range | Practice questions |
|---|---|---|
| Use GitHub platform features | 20-25% | 60 |
| Enhance productivity by using GitHub Copilot | 20-25% | 60 |
| Design and implement agentic workflows and automations | 25-30% | 70 |
| Perform human-in-the-loop tasks for agentic workflows | 20-25% | 60 |
| Total practice questions | Ranges are not a fixed allocation | 250 |
Guided stores the truncated midpoint of each range as 22/22/27/22. Their sum is 93; they are reference weights, not a normalized exam distribution.
Practice Exam: 250 Original Questions
Each question presents a hypothetical business task and asks for a decision. Coaching explains the mechanism, why the alternatives do not fit, a transferable study tip and a practical application. Links point to public documentation.
The bank keeps similar names separate. GitHub Projects, Copilot App projects and a CLI custom agent’s Project storage scope are not interchangeable. Neither are GitHub Agentic Workflows running on Actions, dynamic workflows in Copilot extensions and Copilot automations. Questions identify the relevant surface; preview features are labelled where applicable.
Start with the 20-question free preview, then review the explanations rather than memorizing the option wording. Full access is US$9 for one year. These are original teaching questions, not dumps or recalled items; GitHub does not endorse this resource.
GitHub Certification Path
Choose by the work you do, not by assuming an exam-code sequence is a required progression. GH-700 focuses on business operations and human oversight. GH-600 focuses on developer-oriented AI systems; GH-300 focuses on GitHub Copilot. None is claimed here as a formal prerequisite for GH-700.

Study Tips
- Name the surface. Before answering, establish whether the task concerns the App, CLI, web, an automation or an Actions workflow.
- Trace the control. Separate task instructions, tool permissions, approval decisions and how long an agent continues working.
- Define success first. Give an automated task a checkable output and a clear point for human review.
- Practise safely. Use a disposable repository and hypothetical data. Confirm what an action changes and what stopping or reverting actually does.
- Recheck current documentation. Beta outlines and preview features can change; follow the linked source rather than treating a menu or command as universal.
